2D and 3D pulse programs can be recorded as a 1D data by setting the TD values of the indirect dimensions to 1 or changing the PARMODE (in eda) to 1D. This approach can be useful for optimal setting and calibration of particular parameters (pulses and delays) involved into the pulse sequences. For instance, 13C pulses in 2D HSQC or 3D HNCO experiments can be directly calibrated by maximizing the proton signal in the first serial data.
