1D Excitation Sculpting
(using 180 water-selective pulses)

PRELIMINARY SET-UP PARAMETER SET
Read the standard parameter set to run 1D WATERGATE spectra by typing rpar P3919GP all and change the pulse program to pulprog zgesgp).
MODIFY SPECIFIC PARAMETERS
Solvent suppression experiments are recorded without sample spinning.
Set o1 on-resonance to the solvent resonance to be minimized (o1 may be finely adjusted in gs mode). Increase sw as required.

The basic gradient parameters are:

p16 is the duration of the gradient (1 ms)
d16 is the recovery delay after the gradient (100u)
gpz1=34 and gpz1=22
gpnam1=SINE.100
In this version of the excitation sculpting scheme, solvent suppression is achieved using water-selective 180 pulses. Parameters defining such pulses are:
p12 is the 180 degree shaped pulse at sp1 power level (see Selective 180º 1H observe pulse calibration). It can be finely adjusted in gs mode to improve the suppression level.
ACQUISITION
Minimum number of scans ns=8 and ds=4.

OTHER RELATED VERSIONS
Watergate scheme is easily implemented in many multidimensional experiments. Thus, the experimental conditions found for the standard 1D version can be used in more sophisticated 2D, 3D, and 4D experiments.
