From the standard 13C spectrum file, create a new dataset with and change the pulse program to pulprog ineptnd. This results in a 1H-coupled 13C spectrum in which resonances shown anti-phase pattern with respect 1JCH.MODIFY SPECIFIC PARAMETERS
.ACQUISITIONSee 90 13C observe pulse and 90 1H decouple pulse calibrations).
The interpulse delay (d4) is optimized to 1/[4*1JCH]. A typical value is d4=1.78m (for 1JCH=140Hz).
Set ns as a function of the sample concentration.

Improved versions of the INEPT experiment are:
- INEPT+ experiment. From the basic ineptnd parameters, change the pulse program to pulprog ineptpnd, optimize d3 to 1/[4*JCH] (a typical value is d3=2.68m (for 1JCH=140Hz)) and start the acquisition under the same conditions. The result is a multiplicity-edited 1H-coupled 13C spectrum. All acquisition and processing parameters can be stored by typing wpar ineptpnd all.
- Refocused INEPT experiment. From the basic ineptnd parameters, change the pulse program to pulprog ineptrd, optimize d3 to 1/[4*JCH] (a typical value is d3=2.68m (for 1JCH=140Hz)) and start the acquisition under the same conditions. Similarly as described for DEPT experiments , the d3 delay can be optimized as a function of carbon multiplicity:
1/(6JCH) CH, CH2, CH3 positive
1/(4JCH) CH only
1/(3JCH) CH, CH3 positive, CH2 negative.
The result is a multiplicity-edited 1H-decoupled 13C spectrum. All acquisition and processing parameters can be stored by typing wpar ineptrd all.
