DEPT-135 experiment using adiabatic pulse

This is a simple variant of the classical DEPT-135 experiment in where the last hard 180 degree 13C pulse has been replaced by an adiabatic 180 degree pulse for a improved broadband inversion.

The experiment is easily recorded from the standard DEPT-135 parameter set by changing the pulse program to deptsp135.

The parameters defining the adiabatic pulse are:

  • p12 is the duration (needs calibration)
  • sp2 is the power level (needs calibration)
  • spnam2 is the shape, usually Crp60comp.4
  • Data are acquired and processed in the usual way.
