Cross-saturation is a related approach to the STD experiment that has been described to study protein-protein ( 00NAT220 and 05METH483) and protein-nucleic acid ( 00JACS11311 and 01JB127-21) complexes from TROSY experiments in which aliphatic protons are saturated during the preparation period. Signal attenuation with respect to a non-saturated experiment give resonances placed in such interfaces.
The complementary use of cross-saturation and residual dipolar couplings has been used to propose a model building of a protein-protein complex without the use of intermolecular NOE data ( 04JB325-29). Transferred Cross-saturation Experiments ( 02JMB245)
