This pulse calibration is performed using the paropt AU program. p3 is set to 80 microseconds and pl2 is varied from 15 to 25 dB using a 1 dB step. With pl2=15dB, we observe an antiphase triplet, with the two outer lines in phase and the center line in opposite phase. pl12 is increased until this triplet becomes nul (in our case , 20dB).
