Processing: Applying linear prediction

Linear Prediction (LP) is mostly applied to increase the resolution in the indirect dimensions of 2D and 3D NMR experiments.

In order to enable LP,  the processing Me_mod command must be set to:

LPfr for forward LP, real data
LPfc for forward LP, complex data
LPbr for backward LP, real data
LPbc for backward LP, complex data

The processing parameter NCOEF represents the number of coefficients used for the LP-calculation. Ideally this parameter should be set to 2-3 times the number of expected peaks. A default value of 100 for a TD of 256 is recommended.

Alternatively, one can also use a combination of linear prediction and zerofilling by setting the parameter LPBIN.
