Note: In normal routine operation, the following three steps can be considered already stablished and accordingly defined and, therefore, there is no need to check them each time the user run an experiment.
Installation & Configuration (cf & expinstall) After the engineer has finished the magnet and console installations, it is necessary to configure the software in order to recognize the existing hardware. This is performed using the cf command. Then, we need to install all necessary programs to run NMR experiments using the expinstall command. Tests & Calibrations (edprosol) The second step is the checking for specifications (sensitivity and resolution) and calibration of pulses and power levels for all nuclei of our probehead (as described in Tutorials). These pulses are introduced into edprosol in order to be used in the future for automation processes. Defining the probe (edhead) Before to start any acquisition in some automation mode, we must be sure that our probehead is correctly defined in the edhead command. It must be changed each time we change the probehead
