The 2D Arg-H^e(N^eC^d)H^d experiment allows the sequence-specific assignment of arginine HE guanidino and HD protons in ¹³C,¹⁵N-labeled proteins in H₂O.

Implementation on any AVANCE spectrometer equipped with an inverse probehead, a third channel and pulsed field gradients (PFGs).

The original sequence was reported in 95JACS3556 .

A 2D ¹H-¹H map is obtained correlating HE protons (in F2) and HD protons (in F1) of arginine residues.
