The 2D Arg-H^e(N^e)H^gH^h experiment allows the sequence-specific assignment of arginine side chain protons and guanidino N^e nitrogens in ¹⁵N-labeled proteins in H₂O, based on the long-range ³J_NH interaction.

Implementation on any AVANCE spectrometer equipped with an inverse probehead, a third channel and pulsed field gradients (PFGs).

The original sequence was reported in 97JB193 .

A 2D ¹H-¹⁵N corerlation map is obtained correlating side chain protons (in F2) and N^e guanidino nitrogens (in F1) of arginine residues.
