2D Arg-He(Ne)Cz

DESCRIPTION
The 2D Arg-He(Ne)Cz experiment allows the sequence-specific assignment of arginine He guanidino protons and Cz carbons in 13C,15N-labeled proteins in H2O.
A closely related pulse sequence is the 2D Arg-HeNe(Cz) experiment which correlates proton and nitrogen of the guanidino spin system.
The pulse scheme is based on the HNCO pulse sequence.

REQUIREMENTS
Implementation on any AVANCE spectrometer equipped with an inverse probehead, a third channel and pulsed field gradients (PFGs).
VERSIONS
The original sequence was reported in 94BIO14858 and an improved version has been published in 96JB59-7 .

SPECTRA
A 2D 1H-15N corerlation map is obtained correlating He guanidino protons (in F2) and Nh nitrogens (in F1) of arginine residues.
