APPLICATION FIELDS

⁵¹V NMR spectroscopy has been widely applied on organovanadium compounds (polyvanadates and heteroplyvanadates) because of its high sensitivity.

NMR REFERENCES

VOCl₃ (neat) is used as an external reference. Its absolute frequency is 26.302948 MHz with respect to 100.00 MHz for TMS. Also see IUPAC recommendations for reporting the NMR chemical shits of all nuclei relative to the ¹H resonance of TMS (02JMR323-156).

NMR PARAMETERS

Some interesting features of the V nucleus are:

⁵¹V chemical shifts range of 6000 ppm (from -2000ppm to +4000ppm).

Short T₂ values.
