⁵⁹Co NMR spectroscopy is applied on Inorganic cobalt-containing compounds

NMR REFERENCES

0.1M K₃[Co(CN)₆] in D₂O is used as an external reference. The absolute frequency is 23.727074 MHz with respect to 100.00 MHz for TMS. Also see IUPAC recommendations for reporting the NMR chemical shits of all nuclei relative to the ¹H resonance of TMS (02JMR323-156).

NMR PARAMETERS

Some interesting features of the Co nucleus are:

⁵⁹Co chemical shift cover a range of 18000ppm (from -4000ppm to +14000ppm).

Very short T₂ values.
