13C relaxation
13C relaxation studies are hampered by:
  • Highly complicated carbon spin topologies
  • Large and fully anisotropic 13C CSA tensors.
    • Such studies have been applied on natural abundance ( 94BIO2441 ), site-specific 13C-labeled ( 96JB252 ), randomly 13C-labeled ( 95JMRB173-108 , 98JMR310-135 , 99JB241 ) anduniformly 13C,15N ( 05JB295-32 ) RNA compounds. NMR methods to measure T1, T2 and CSA-DD cross-correlated rates has been reported ( 99JB241 ).
