Through bond correlation between sugar and base protons can be accomplished using 1H-13C HMBC or related long-range optimized HSQC experiments ( 01JMR223-153 ). A J-quantitative HMBC experiment has been proposed to quantify these coupling values ( 02JB1-23 ).
